Do You Truly Love and Value Yourself?

Sometimes we face experiences in life that shape the way we see ourselves. Unfortunately, most often it is in a negative light. The amazing thing is that if you really want to you can do something about it! That something might be really scary!! 

 

Leaping out of your comfort zone is often amazing and even life-changeing! But, you will never know until you push yourself! 

 

I will let my client take it from here in her words, her thoughts

on her session experience . . .

My boudoir session with Valerie was monumental for me. I have always been fairly self-conscious of my body and have dealt with poor self-esteem since I was a child. Being one of the stockier young ladies in my class, I was often bullied as a child. Considering the fact that I am a plus-sized woman, coupled with the harsh expectations that the media often places on women, I would have never in a million years considered getting down to my bra and panties in front of a stranger, for the most part. When I stumbled across Valerie's photography page, I was so impressed with not only her portraiture, but the confidence that her clients exuded. I found myself becoming envious of these beautiful women and longing for the chance to feel beautiful enough to do a boudoir session of my own.

I kind of forced myself into doing a boudoir session on a whim. I went to check out Valerie's beautiful studio during her open house, and Valerie was offering a special that I just could not pass up. I just knew if I didn't take the leap and sign up that day, that I would never truly be "ready" no matter how much I psyched myself up and tried to talk myself into it. I could not be happier that I took that leap of faith and had a session with Valerie. From the get-go, she is so welcoming and radiates positivity. From the moment I got my makeup done and slipped into some sexy lingerie, I immediately was shocked with how sexy I felt! My session with Valerie gave me an overwhelming, newfound sense of confidence. As a mother of two who is also working full-time, I rarely made time for myself. This session gave me a whole new perspective of myself. I was absolutely amazed with my portraits to the point that I had a visible emotional response during my viewing and ordering meeting.

Valerie truly helped show me the beauty I have always had hidden under all of my insecurities. I couldn't be more grateful for this experience and for Valerie and her makeup artist, Sara, who opened up my eyes to the real me. I have learned that self-care (and a little bit of lipstick) can really go a long way, but more importantly, I have learned to love and value myself in a way I never knew how. Every women NEEDS to do this! Not just as a sexy surprise for their partner, but for themselves. Every woman deserves to feel beautiful, and for me, a boudoir session with Valerie was just what I needed for a little glimpse of the beauty that others see when they look at me. The only regret I have is not doing this sooner!
