Welcome to Valerie Visser Studios (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before booking or participating in any photography session.

 

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website, scheduing a session, or purchasing any products or services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use our services.

 

2. Services

We provide professional photography services including (but not limited to) boudoir, portrait, family, senior, and branding sessions. Details of each service are outlined on our website and may change without notice.

 

3. Booking & Payments

Session Retainer:A non-refundable retainer fee is required to secure your session date. Your session date is not reserved until this payment is received. This retainer fee is non-refundable and non-transferable meaning it can only be used by the person originally scheduling the session date.

 

Final Balance:The remaining balance for any images and products is due no later than the date of your session (unless otherwise agreed in writing).

Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards, PayPal, Affirm Credit and Klarna.

 

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Client Cancellations:If you cancel your session, your retainer fee will not be refunded. Rescheduling may be offered at our discretion if notice is given within [30] days.

 

Studio Cancellations:In the rare event we must cancel due to illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances, you may reschedule or receive a refund of your retainer.

 

5. Client Responsibilities

Punctuality: Please arrive on time for your session. Late arrivals beyond 15 minutes may reduce the length of your session without refund.

Wardrobe & Preparation: Clients are responsible for following any wardrobe, hair, or makeup guidelines provided prior to the session.

Conduct: We reserve the right to end a session without refund if a client engages in inappropriate or unsafe behavior.

Animals & Firearms: Animals and firearms are prohibited in the studio.They are not allowed under any circumstances. If you bring them to the studio, your session will be canceled without refund.

 

6. Image Usage & Copyright

Ownership: Valerie Visser Studios retains full copyright of all images. This does not mean I will use your images for marketing without your permission. We will request written permission to share images before doing so.

Personal Use License: Clients receive a personal use license for purchased images and products. Images may not be altered, sold, or used commercially without written permission.

Marketing Use: We will request written permission to share images before doing so for your images to be used in our portfolio, website, social media, and marketing materials. You have the right to refuse this request.

 

7. Products & Delivery

Payment in Full: All products (albums, prints, wall art, digital images, etc.) must be paid in full before orders are placed and products are delivered. We do not even deliver part of an order before receiving payment in full as agreed to on your final order form.

Delivery Timeline: Standard delivery timelines are provided at the time of order but may vary based on suppliers and shipping conditions.

Custom Orders: Because products are custom, all sales are final.

 

8. Liability

We take great care to provide a safe and professional environment. However, we are not liable for:

• Injuries sustained during sessions.
• Loss, theft, or damage to personal items.
• Delays caused by circumstances outside our control (e.g., natural disasters, shipping issues etc).

 

9. Website Use

When using our website, you agree not to:

• Copy, distribute, or misuse our content without permission.
• Attempt to disrupt the site’s functionality or security.

 

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The most recent version will always be posted on our website with the effective date updated.
